Edward (Ted) McNabola was selected by his peers as one of the top 100 consumer attorneys in Illinois.  The survey of licensed Illinois attorneys was conducted by Law & Politics magazine.

He has successfully handled hundreds of cases involving personal injury, medical negligence and class actions, including a recent verdict at trial of $3.7 million for the family of a young woman who died as a result of negligent medical care. His last three trials resulted in jury verdicts in favor of his clients totaling nearly $10 Million. Also, Ted recently obtained a settlement in excess of $3.15 million for a Chicago Police Officer who suffered an injury to his eye resulting in partial loss of vision.

He and his colleagues at Cogan & McNabola have obtained over $475 million in verdicts and settlements on behalf of injured clients.

Mr. McNabola is an Adjunct Professor at the Northwestern University School of Law, where he teaches Trial Advocacy. He is an active member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association and the Chicago Bar Association. Mr. McNabola was elected by his peers to the General Assembly of the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA).

He is a frequent speaker and a published author on various trial practice issues.In 2002, he was selected by the Illinois Law Bulletin Publishing Company as one of the 40 Attorneys Under 40 To Watch in Illinois.He has been selected by his peers as an Illinois Super Lawyer and a member of the Leading Lawyer Network.

Mr. McNabola joined Cogan & McNabola, P.C. following his employment with a prominent Chicago defense firm where he was responsible for defending catastrophic injury cases involving interstate trucking, personal injury, wrongful death, aviation, general negligence, product liability and premises liability.

Mr. McNabola graduated with honors from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.He obtained his Juris Doctorate Degree from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law and achieved a Master's Degree from Loyola University of Chicago, where he concentrated on jury selection and deliberation.He studied law in Innsbruck, Austria with the then-Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court, William H. Rehnquist.

In 2008, Mr. McNabola received the honor of being admitted to the Bar of the United States Supreme Court and was sworn in by Chief Justice, John H. Roberts.

    For the family of a mother who died during child birth. Her newborn baby also suffered irreversible brain damage during the delivery at a Chicago hospital.

    Plaintiff was having a cervical fusion revision at Northwestern Memorial Hospital when his head dropped from neutral to 80 degrees.
