Adria East Mossing joined Cogan & McNabola, P.C. in 2004 after working as a defense attorney for many years. Ms. Mossing practiced law for sixteen years at a Chicago defense firm, where she was an equity partner. She concentrated her practice on professional liability and commercial litigation matters. She brings this extensive knowledge of litigation to Cogan & McNabola and now concentrates on medical malpractice, wrongful death and general tort litigation. She has also served as an adjunct professor at DePaul University Law School and is an active member in the Woman's Bar Association of Illinois. Ms. Mossing is a member of the American Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the Defense Research Institute. Her publications include Pleading Chapter, Illinois Civil Practice, IICLE, 1989 supplement, 1991 supplement, 1993 supplement, 1995 supplement and 1997 supplement. She is also an active presenter. Her presentations include 1995 Tort Reform Act and Construction Litigation after the repeal of the Structural Work Act, Oak Brook, Illinois, 1995, and Initiating the Action-Pleading Pitfalls and Preparing the Case to Win, IICLE Seminar October 1997. She received her B.A. from Northwestern University, and her J.D. from DePaul University. Ms. Mossing is admitted to practice in Illinois, the United States District Court fro the Northern District of Illinois, and the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan.
